Strawberry Mango Smoothie

240 Calories, 34.7 grams of sugar, 13 ounces

My mom was the one who taught me how to make a delicious smoothie, so now I make delicious smoothies and you can too.

I love using frozen fruit, so I don't have to deal with ice. I used strawberries and mangos but you can choose your favorite fruit. Just make sure you freeze the fruit the night before or buy frozen fruit. I chose to use spinach as well, but it is up to you. To make it creamy, I use light greek peach yogurt but any yogurt will work. For my liquid, I use OJ but feel free to experiment and find what you like best.

If you are looking to cut back on the sugar, sticking with your berries is a great way to go. So instead of strawberries and mangos, you could just use a cup of frozen strawberries, and use a juice or milk that is low in sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries

  • 1/2 cup of frozen mangos

  • 1/2 cup of spinach

  • 3/4 cup of orange juice (whatever juice or milk you want)

  • 1 cup of yogurt (I used light greek peach yogurt)

Directions

  1. Pull out your blender and gather all of your ingredients

  2. Throw all of your ingredients in the blender

  3. Blend on the smoothie setting or blend to desire consistency

  4. Pour in your favorite cup and enjoy!
