Finding Success with Setting Goals

Setting goals is a great way to help you bring focus and structure to the vision you have for your life. There are so many different factors that play a large role in helping you to set and achieve your goals. The questions below will help you think through the goal setting process.

  • What is one goal you would like to reach in the next month?

  • What do you need in order to be successful with reaching your goal?

  • What barriers could stop you from reaching your goals?

Motivation

  • How will reaching your goal impact your life?

  • How do you think you will feel after reaching your goal?

Values and Strengths

  • What are 3 things you value in life? (Brene Brown has an awesome list of values if you need help)

    • Example: I value faith, family, and community.

  • What personal strengths do you most admire about yourself?

    • Example: my strengths are being encouraging to others and being creative

  • How will your values and strengths help you reach your goals?

    • I will let my family and community know about my health goals, and I will find creative ways to help me get over barriers when they come up.
